Virgin Mobile Festival began in 2006 at Pimlico Race Course. In 2009 Richard Branson decided to make the festival free to all consumers and it became FreeFest. Since then it has grown into being one of the most loved Festivals on the East Coast.
In 2011 Virgin Mobile FreeFest had over 50,000 attendees, 500 million PR impressions, and raised $200K for their charity Re*Generation. They also had some great talent that included: Deadmau5, The Black Keys, Cee Lo Green, and Grace Potter and the Nocturnals just to name a few.
